FAQ
-
What is it?
Decorative art! My art is made using mostly macrame and weaving techniques through hand-knotting fiber materials. Two historical fiber art crafting techniques that I use to create decorative wall art and soft sculptures.
-
Do you do customs?
Yes.
I love custom work and I am happy to discuss customizing your perfect piece. Just go to the "Contact Me" page and send me a message!
-
How do customs work?
Once you have contacted me and we discuss what you are looking for, I will let you know if it is something I am able to create for you.
After we discuss size, timeline, colors, and price range I may ask for a 25%-50% deposit depending on the project.
Once the deposit is paid, I will begin working on the piece and give you direct updates on the project.
When it is completed I will ask for the remainder of the final amount and send you your new work of art!
-
Do you do refunds?
No.
Due to the time-intensive nature of my work I cannot supply refunds for products that have been shipped out and received. To mitigate any confusion about an item detailed pictures and descriptions are provided.
If there are any questions about the art please feel free to contact me.
For customs, we will have a lot of communication about the work to make sure you are happy.
-
Can you replicate a past artwork?
Yes, to an extent.
I always strive to make each piece unique, I can work on recreating a specific design you love, but it is important to keep in my mind that everything is handmade so there will always be slight alterations in order to make it one-of-a-kind.
-
Do you have DIY kits or teach classes?
I do not provide DIY kits but I do have a macrame course through Domestika.
The course will teach beginners how to create their own Macrame Wall Planter from start to finish.
If you are interested in a macrame tutorial class from me locally, please Contact Me!
Quality Assurance
Each piece is handmade and hand-inspected before it is shipped out to you to ensure the structural stability of the work. It is important that the investment you have made in my art will provide you with a unique piece of work with longevity.
Environmental Policy
As a lover of Mother Earth, many of the packaging materials I use are repurposed or recycled. If they are newer packaging materials I will do my best to source compostable materials. It's always a great idea to hang onto the delivery box for your own uses in the future! Additionally, when shipping I always opt for a carbon offset fee if available.
Pricing Policy
I understand that custom and bespoke art can be expensive, it is an investment and I want to provide as much transparency as I can when it comes to pricing. Each piece is priced based on base materials, design time, dyeing time, the time spent creating the work, and the inclusion of overhead costs.
Anti-Slavery & Forced Labor
When sourcing materials I research my retailers to ensure that the materials are coming from businesses that are maintaining human rights laws for their employees and that they are compensated with a living wage.
